Seems like a full-featured tool - which means work (for you!). The one thing I did notice was that the default setting involves an "application for admission" email form. I'm not sure how much security you are wanting, but that seems like unneccessary administrative overhead to me. The self-registration on these forums has been fine - and has allowed the quick creation of alt-accounts for RP purposes. I am assuming that this forum will be replaced with one integrated into your new site. Is that in fact the plan? Will members need to be registered in order to participate, and if so how?

Yeah, I have just begun to play with it. I added the application for admission, and that is really admission into the guild. It is for people to post who the are, what they are and a brief history. I plan to have a form and once a prospective member fills out the form, move from there.
As soon as it is complete, I am placing newer forums on the page. I am placing a wiki to where I would like to move stuff from this forum. I also plan on each character having their own personal blog, in case someone wants to utilize that feature. I think it may help to expand characters and round out RP stories.
My friend showed me the tool and the SMF forums I will be placing on the site as well. This is what we all do, so I have plenty of help. And they are night owls like myself, so I have it 24x7.
I hope I can make it all work.

After sitting in the PCT queue for 42 hours, Sorch is now on FM. I'm waiting in the FM queue now to log her into her original and rightful home. *phew*

Changes have been made to the look. I have wiki and forum software downloaded, I am just waiting on database connectors for those (which I am going to be pestering the crap out of my friends tonight until someone gives me my connectors!).
Opinions are requested. (Just a note, as soon as I find out how to destroy that side News panel, it is gone, and the buttons I will attempt to make blue, as well.)

OK.. you should be able to start requesting logins to the site. Go to Apply for Admission and Request an Account should be a menu choice.

OK.. looks like I am going to have to do manual account creation for now, until I can get a package of graphics installed on the server that the website sits on. I am going to take that page away for now, but all it actually does is allow you to blog. Feel free to hop to the forums that are up or the wiki and create yourself an account there.
I also, if someone would not mind, need someone to create a history of DoV page on the wiki. I would, but my experience spans the last few months of Windy's Lordship, Fech's and that's it.

Ok.. I have a form up that will allow me to add the information manually. Just fill that out and I will create the user name and have the site generate you a password and email you back confirmation.

All right... different plan. Set yourself a user on the forums and I can import them back and forth, so your user name and pass will be the same and you only have to log in one single place (I hope).

One account per person, or one per character? (Seems like the former until you can automate it, but checking . . . )

All you have to do is sign up for the forums with as many characters as you want. I have an automated script that transfers the user/pass to the website and that will do for now.

I may be able to help with the Defenders Wiki.
btw, I cannot seem apply for an account without using an email client, and my computer is not set up for email from anything but google mail.

I get that error at times as well. You should be able to refresh and have it pop up.
