I guess it is my turn!
My name is Chris, I live in Harrisburg PA. I am originally from Northern VA right outside DC (Washington!) I am 30.....still sinking in that I am and oldy but goody now. I liked my 20s! I am married (8) years I have a 6 year old son who takes up a lot of my time. I coach his soccer, baseball, and basketball teams which basically makes me a full time coach year round! I work as a case manager for a brokerage company dealing with Annuities and Group income products. Boring! It is only temporary hopefully. I normally work a second job doing something that isn't too time consuming that can bring in extra cash. This normally takes up much of my free time (WoW time) but as you can see as of late, I do not have a second job currently. I got sick of waiting tables and loading a truck wasn't paying enough....I am currently looking for something else but using for the time being I am a full time WoW player again. I also have 2 step children age 14 and 13 for which I play taxi. You may see my type: Be back in 10. Taxi time... This means I am taking someone somewhere but it is normally pretty close by! I also play indoor soccer in an adult league. I'm not the greatest player but not too bad for my old age! I know my life sounds busy but my wife's is worse! She is a full time student getting her Masters, working full time at the airport, and also a full time mother of 3 (4 if you count me!)
Some random facts
I like action adventure movies I like fantasy books - R.A. Salvatore is brilliant. (I don't care what you say his character creation makes the books amazing) I like brunettes My favorite color is Green I hike I am a hybrid coach potato/active person My favorite TV show is Lost Invasion is not as good as lost...but I like it too. If I could be a superhero I would be Superman I am a leader although I like to follow. I am a follower who thinks he can lead.
I currently play Landorian, a night elf hunter. I am enjoying the character a lot and it has inspired me to role-play like no other character has since my EQ Wizard Sorrieenrei. I also play Sorrieen a dwarf priest which you may see from time to time but at this point I feel that I will be playing Lando quite a bit. I see lando as a cross between a Native American, Japanese Samurai, and what most D&D players would consider a Woodland Elf. In my stories you will see hints of all three of these influences.
I think that is about all I have to say....If I think of more I will add it in! I think I have a picture somewhere on my home PC I will add when I get home.

*big huggles to her friend Chris* (though I knew you first as Sorrie (the first Sorrie) and in my mind I think that is how I'll always think of you).
I'm so glad we've got you back!

Well, hey, nobody has used this thread for a while, it's lunch time at work -- well really lunchtime was over 20 minutes ago, but what the heck.
My real name is Julie, I really am a woman, I live in Southern California. I do seem to be among the older people here, but maybe not quite the oldest.
I grew up in Minnesota. I was the classic "get married at the earliest possible moment to get away from a dysfunctional family" type of case, and after a few years found myself divorced, with two sons, living in Southern California.
It all works out in the end, though. I guess, not the end -- hopefully just the middle. My sons are college age and there is some chance they will become responsible adults eventually. During the day I work as a manager at a big life insurance company, which is not as boring as you'd think and I'm actually pretty good at it.
At night (as you know) I mostly sit at the computer playing WOW. Luckily, my new husband (been remarried for a few years now) is also a fan of the game, although he is not into the rp thing and he plays on another server with a bunch of his friends. We go out to dinner, and unlike many couples who have nothing to talk about, we discuss the merits of warriors vs. paladins, and the best strategies for getting great armor. It's sad really.
Back when I had other interests, they included literature, history, animals, gardening, cooking and travel.
I picked an elf hunter because elves, animals and archery are all cool. And because I didn't know anybody and hunters are pretty good solo. I started Larae because Celera became too serious and I wanted a character that was more useful in groups, and because sometimes you don't want to have a strategy, you just want to slash things. And I recently started a new character (I'm easily bored) Thelanya, because the guild could use more warlocks, the rp options are interesting and those DOT's are impressive. And Merlinne told me I don't have to use the voidwalker if I don't want to.
Well there you have it. Back to work.

Ermm... umm... yeah.
HI!!!
I actually read ALMOST this whole thread a few days ago, then gave up because I'm lazy.
My name is Faye. I'm 19 and in college. I'm no good at college. Not because I'm not smart, I am, but because I just don't have the sense to do the things I'm supposed to.
Homework? Bah. It can wait until 20 minutes before its due. Projects? Eh.... I'll do the next one, I swear. Test? Nah... I'll have a nap instead.
Oh look! WoW!
Hehehe. I'm an interesting character... I'm known to say COMPLETELY random things at COMPLETELY random times, and sometimes my mouth runs away with me. If I say or do something that offends or upsets you for ANY reason, please tell me. Most likely I'll have said/done it without thinking and will then apologize profusely for being an idiot.
I love to RP and all my character slots on Feathermoon are full. Most likely you've already met one of my interesting personas in game. ^.^ I won't list my alts because I think the RP is more fun when its random and you have no idea who's on the other side... HOWEVER, I also won't lie or mislead you if you catch me. Hehehe. I'm not good at keeping secrets either... which I'm afraid some of you may have already figured out.
My parents are divorced and my mom and I live in a great house with my aunt, my boyfriend, and my dog who I am hopelessly in love with. I dote upon him as if he were a small child. Creepy? Sorry....
I also have a rather interesting job at a day care center. Interesting? What do you mean Faye? Lots of people work at day cares. Yeah well... I work at a DOG day care. Put that in your pipe and smoke it! LOL no really... I do. Its LOUD. You think kids are noisy... OH MAN. At least kids don't bark at the door when the wind blows. *Sigh* No... I actually love my job. Minimal work. *grin*
Anything else? I'll be glad to post a picture if someone REALLY wants to see it....

In the business world, we call that "just in time delivery." So don't worry, you are on the cutting edge.

"Homework? Bah. It can wait until 20 minutes before its due. Projects? Eh.... I'll do the next one, I swear. Test? Nah... I'll have a nap instead."
One more little quote that I heard in grad school that I cherish. It applies.
"If you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute"
Instant justification for procrastination.

I live in Seattle. I'm a woman. I'm 46 years old, at least for another week or so. I work for a living and am very much over-educated.
I have been playing WoW since last winter, when I took it up to be able to participate in lunchtime conversations with the fellows I worked with. I started on a PvE server, where I have 9 characters (3 of whom are 60 and deeply immersed in the endgame). I lost a roll last spring and ended up having to be the guildmaster of a friends-and-family guild over there. I adore my friends on Hyjal, but I noticed that none of them really was into roleplay. Since I've been playing paper-and-pen RPGs since 1975, I missed that aspect of the game a great deal.
So in June, I rolled my first character on Feathermoon. I now have 3 here. It's possible for you to figure out who the other two, but in general, I don't go around announcing their behind-the-scenes connection outside the guild. I love Feathermoon, and the opportunities for great RP I've found here, but I can't completely abandon my 3 60s or the guild I've been nurturing on Hyjal, let alone my fantastic friends over there. As a result, my playtime on Feathermoon tends to be a bit erratic (heck, they'd say the same about my Hyjal playtime, too). I am deeply committed to my Feathermoon girls, however, and will always make sure they are played enough to form and nurture connections with other players, as well as being reasonably supportive of guild activities.
