I recently downloaded (or bought at a store with my real money for all you lawful types) the recently released game "The Witcher". Now, as some of you know, my opinion is considered to be universally correct to all life forms. With that being said, I would advise those among you who play them PC RPG games to rush out and grab (Or download illegally) a copy of "The Witcher". Witcher Review via IGN. pc.ign.com/objects/682/682220.html(Note, because it isn't the game Oblivion, it didn't get near a high of score as it should have, but the reader's reviews are closer to par.)

Ok, I went and bought The Witcher a couple of weeks ago. I just finished it. Here's my review:
The story is the game's strength. It's a dark fantasy world filled with political intrigue, ambiguous morality, and the Witcher, our hero, is an engaging outsider caught up in events beyond his control. A bit trite, but miles ahead of most competition out there.
Game play is so so. The combat mechanic is a great idea, but imperfectly implemented. In combat you have to choose the right combat style and then click on the monster at specific times to "unlock" more powerful attacks. Problem is its a bit finicky. I often found myself getting frustrated when my clicks were not recognized by the game.
The acting is mostly bad. Our stoic Witcher is well played; most of the rest...bleh. I could overlook it, but its still a minus.
You can have sex with the women. Either as quest rewards or part of the dialogue. Cut scenes; some nudity. Not too much to get excited about, and vertainly a young man's fantasy. Where were such games when I was 16?
Lots of play time here. Probably about 80 hours.
All in all, a fun diversion, not a stellar game. I can recommend it, but not wildly. A-
(I found the IGN review spot on)
