So, a little about myself. I am part of a production company, just a group of guys who do fun things like produce music, run role-playing games, etc. Well, a couple of years ago, we started making a movie, called Geekin'. It is written, directed, acted and produced totally within this group of friends that I have. Here is the trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFv6RXJ5C_E&search=digitribeCheck it out; if you like it, this is the website: www.geekinmovie.com/Normally, I would not post this, but I think it is genuinely good and genuinely something you all, being like myself, would enjoy. So do.

Very very cool... As a dude that has gone down this road already with my own friends (bastards have no free time I tell you what) I can fully appreciate the sheer willpower and effort that it takes to get something like this done. So just on that principle - kudos to all of you.
But as you said, it looks genuinely good and I really can't wait to see it. Keep me informed on it's status, I'd love to set up some West-Coast screenings with some friends.

I know you guys do not know any of these people, but my Geekin friends were able to screen Geekin' at this weekends DragonCon. DragonCon is Atlanta's Science Fiction and Comic Expo that is put on every Labor Day weekend. People from the far reaches of rthe continent make the annual trip (my friends in Vancouver are regular fixtures) and much drink is had by all. If you are interested in seeing the entire spirit of DragonCon, check this out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NPgj4XUmLo Shot and editted in a single weekend, it chronicles our Geekin' feature and our attempt to sell the thing as well as our attempt to get smashed out of our brains. I am absent (had to work most of the weekend) but my wife can be seen at the very beginning with the guy yelling 'It's Con!" as well as entering the suite in a pink shirt and cat ears.
