Me name's Toraar an' I'm supposin' yeh're wantin' a tale o' sorts on how I came ta' be here with ye.
I met me' friend Branek in a raid. Tha' mightn' not be o' much importance, but it was tha' night I lost me father an' gained me a brother. I was barely a dwarf, me' whiskers hadn't even begun ta' sprout, when an orc raid swept o'er our little outpost. I'd been out excavatin' our newfound tunnels when warnin' bells an' tha' like got ter ringin' n' clangin', I smelled tha' smoke risin' a'fore I seen it. Hunnerds o' tha' filthy beasts swarmed oe'er tha' place, burnin' as they went. We took ta' defendin' tha' main gate, bein' our best defense, an' sent runners ta' every clan in tha' parts outlyin'. Four days we 'eld 'em...four days o' blood an' torn beards, until tha' clans were able ter rally ta' our aid. Branek's clan came firs', fightin' their way through ta us an' supportin' our lines. Another few nights o' hard fightin' an' we had em' runnin'. Me Dah used ter tell me, "It s'all in how yeh negotiate. I like me axe personally!" an' it seems ter have held true fer orcs. Meself, I'd had a few close scrapes durin' tha' fight, but me Dah wasn't so lucky. When we found 'im, he was cut up awful fierce, but 'e had a fair pile o' orcs about him. I dinna think a dwarf could ask fer a better way ta' go to Moradin's halls then that.
Havin' no family left, I struck out wit' Branek an' his boys ter see tha' wide world an' all it's sights, eventually endin' up wit' a ragtag group bound fer adventure up north a-ways.
Now on in Northrend...a dark place if e'er tha' sun decided ta' hide. I was tha' ship's smith fer tha' expedition led by Arthas. We had our share o' skirmishes with tha' Fersaken, an' in that final battle when Arthas took up Frostmourne, an' killed Bronzebeard, we were abandoned n' forced ta' live out in tha' damned spider caves. But tha' fire wasn't put out in us, an' workin' together we created us a small kingdom o' sorts. A few years later, Arthas returned an' attacked us again, drivin' us in a rout. We managed ta' get tha' women n' littluns out and ta' safety. I was part o' a company sent ta' find allies south in Azeroth ta' drive Arthas from tha' Frozen Throne an' reclaim our home.
Along tha' way, Moradin, (tha' god o' many dwarves) handed me friend Branek a vision of a new home fer our people. Me n' him, we struck out further to tha' south ta' find clues to the lost kingdom o' Uldum and a possible home fer our people.
I been travellin' this road fer a few years now, an' weh're not seemin' any closer to Uldum, but soon mebbe we'll find somethin' useful. We met up wit' an old friend o' ours, Karlean, an' he steered us oe'er ta' this here group o' folks. Now I had me a fair bit o' talk with some o' yer people, an' I like what I was seein'. Me axe is yer's till' Moradin calls me home ta' tha' Great Forge.
