Merlinne reads the announcement and smiles. "A promotion well deserved. I wonder if I can fuss over her before hers as she did over me before mine?" With a wicked grin she headed off to find the upcoming Lady of Virtue.

We are fortunate in the House of Virtue to have such a committed, skilled, and all-around wonderful leader. Congratulations on having it made official!

Kaillen sat gazing at the parchment in his hands for long moments, a wistful smile playing across his lips.
"So. It is done."
Nodding to himself, he set the parchment aside. A part of him missed the station, he grudgingly admitted to himself, yet the better choice had been clear to him for some time, if not to others.
Another soft smile touched the paladin's features. She'll be radiant, he thought, picturing his friend in formal robes of state and blushing to the tips of her ears. I hope she can forgive me...
SIghing, Kaillen reached for a fresh sheet of parchment and a quill, carefully penning his missive in schooled and elegant strokes.
Dearest Polrena,
I am overjoyed to hear of your well-deserved appointment. You have exceeded your own expectations and fulfilled the potential all saw in you from the moment of your arrival. I am proud of all that you have accomplished and truly honored to serve beside you within the House. It is therefore with the deepest regret that I must inform you of my inability to attend......... -----------------------------------------------------------
((OOC: Sincerest apologies, but I will not be able to make it, as my mother's birthday is tomorrow and I will most likely be taking her to dinner at that time. Kaillen will most certainly be there in spirit, however! *big congratulatory hug*))

My dearest Lady Polrena,
Though I would give anything to be there for your most special day, I regretfully will not be in attendance due to an urgent matter that must be attended to. Though it pains me to lose this opportunity to drink in your beauty, Montalban is a man who keeps his word, and so I am bound by this and must be elsewhere. I will be thinking of you, however, and wish you all the happiness you so richly deserve.
At your service as always,
Alejandro Gustavo Miguel Inarritu Javier Benicio Esteban Guillermo del Montalban

Very slyly, peeking over someone else's shoulder, Mistrie Peacebloom spies the parchment being passed around the Defender's Halls. Her lips forming an 'o', her eyebrows go up. Slipping away from the conversing pair she'd so silently snuck up on, she slips around a corner, glancing back and forth to see if anyone is noticing her in any way at all. Lurking about halls like these as quietly as she's managed is damn near impossible in mail armor... An occasion to don something other than mail is...exquisit!
The Lady Polrenna is an exquisite woman, in face and form, in manners, in grace. She is wise, in temprance. I'm a hardly noticed guest in these halls, I am sure it would be the same if I crashed the party.
She made her way as discreetly as possible to the front entrance, offering a shy smile, with sparkling jade eyes to the Lord of the castle at the slight nod offered, accompanied by slight perplexion of Elven expression as she trotted out the front doors.
She made her way to the hills of Elwynn. She may be poor, and new to her class and professinal skills, but such a high promotion is an occasion for gifting, and she'd do her damndest to offer up the best gift she possibly could, made by her own hand...

((well, I had to pick up the step-daughter from a play at 10pm which is the time this was suppose to begin. I just got home at 10:20 and the queue is at 569 59mins. Polrena, I am sorry I missed this, I wanted very much to be there. Congratulations.))

I was so sorry I could not be there, Lady Polrena. Please accept my best wishes on your well-deserved promotion.
((Sorcha is on a different account than Malka and Rheyna -- because I have more than 9 alts on Hyjal, okay? -- and bringing her would have meant sitting in a 493 person queue.))

Thank you all so very much for your kind words and encouragement! Of course I wished everyone could be there, if only because the attendees seemed to have had a lot of fun, so I would wish everyone could have fun!
I did indeed blush to my ears, and got a little misty ((cried)) when the Defenders knelt. It humbled me, and I do not know if I can live up to such esteem! I am honored to be a part of the Defenders, and still awed that I was chosen to head the House of Virtue. I will do the best I can to keep our name a shining example of the Light.
Thank you all, more than I can express.
Lady Polrena
