After the feedback we received was so overwhelmingly positive, I have decided to make the move official. It's going to happen fast for some of you - hold on tight. Lunari Meridia can be found online at: lunarimeridia.guildportal.com/There are three things I need for everyone to do: 1) read their charter, 2) register on their forums, 3) introduce yourself to the guild under The Doorkeeper thread I have started. The tentative plan is to do the official move this weekend. Yes, the weekend of the 1st. So please do this as soon as humanly possible. If you have any questions, please post them here or if you would like to discuss them privately, don't hesitate. I plan on beginning a storyline about all of this which - knowing us - will outlive the weekend and go far into our merger, but when have we ever cared about continuity?

This weekend is Labor Day weekend. A lot of people will probably not be able to be around. I know I won't be, and I doubt I'm the only one.

I missed it! Drat, I SHOULD check these forums more frequently.
Oh, by the way...did I ever tell you guys about my plan (from more than seven months ago) to form an Undead-only alt Guild for the Defenders of Valor called the "Defilers of Valor"?
Example:
[Guild][Stinky] Hey, pimpleface. I thought I smelled you. [Guild][Scabeater] Eat poo, Stinky! Scabeater makes a rude gesture. [Guild][Deathnell] Shut up, you two! I'm trying to eat brain. Stinky rolls his eyes, but one falls out. [Guild][Scabeater] I hate you guys! [Guild][Stinky] Yeah, we hate you too, zithead. C'mon, let's check out the Auction House.
Well, anyway, I'll get in trouble for bringing this up. Okay, I admit, I am deflecting. I didn't bring Kal over cause I was busy on the weekend. I'll do it...I promise.
Make way!

That sounds an awful lot like Fech and Valand anyway, Kal.

A bit of a postscript:
I must say that the absorption of our membership into the Lunari has proven, in my opinion, to have paid off. With the burden of responsibility gone from my shoulders (and the guilt at having shed that responsibility in the first place) I have once again been able to "take back the game".
Kalmorith has been out a little bit, but I have done more with priest Raldin (Lvl 37) and Gubbins (Lvl 54), the new little warrior who just joined Lunari as his first guild. Both of these characters are having fun again.
(I have also been playing my Orc Warlock "Warnocka" (Lvl 25) who plays alongside "Missmary", her best friend, and who would love to hear from your horde character if you are ever on!)
Back to Lunari. I find great comfort in knowing my "old friends" are on, but have also new-found respect and camaraderie with the Lunari members. Already, I have logged on to find more than enough Lunari to come and help me out.
In many ways, I feel like I have my cake, and am eating it too.
I am still saddened at the "standing down" of the Defenders, and have even joked with Kalmorith who will often announce himself with "Greeting Def...er, Lunarians!" but I do so only for effect. I do not "miss" the Defenders, because most are still there. But I can't say I don't get a bit melancholy when I come back to this site.
Still, I am happy to be a part of the new family. I, for one, have finally had a bit of fresh air breathed onto my gaming experience.

Kal, that is exactly what we hoped would happen -- that people would be recharged by having a large group of new people to interact with, while still having our old friends around.
They are a nice bunch. Talking with Anitor and the other leaders, I have great respect for their good intentions, their good sense about managing things, and their humility about their own mistakes.
And anything that keeps people like you around, Kal, has to be a good thing. It's been great seeing you again.
