In the center of a grassy lawn adjacent to the Library stands the Academy. Outside, various Defenders hone their martial skill alone, in pairs, or in squads and the clash of metal and smell of sweat wafts towards you.
As you approach, the round surface of the tower rises up to greet you. Within the vaulted ceilings of the Academy simple rooms with chairs and chalkboards sit next to alchemist's laboratories and armorsmith's collections, in a cluttered order. Anything of study in the art of war has its place here.
Today's lessons are posted near the entrance. The classes are open to all. Over the entrance, in elven script, read the Darnassian words "All may choose the path of strength through knowledge," reflecting the elven heritage of the Academy's founder, D'ana'no Keldamyr.
Within, the muffled sounds of lessons in progress can be heard from behind classroom doors. Various Defenders rush or walk down the halls seeking new lessons. The young and curious come to hear the words of their elders on a myriad of topics, and those who rise to the challenge of study strengthen and improve themselves, focus their minds, and unify their bonds and comraderie.
