Caspin's Power Underwhelming got me to thinking that we should have a thread devoted to biographies of what happened to the old Defenders and where are they now?
Anyone interested? Have at.

I'm working on doing something with the Annalira/break in story that was started 6 months ago before Things Fell Apart. I'm not sure how I'm going to do things, but I'll repost them here if anyone is interested (they will be retconned though, be warned)

Mandius and Ernie's story is in outline stages now, but it's taking a backseat to Caspin's story at the moment.
To make a long story short, Mandius attempted to 'honor' Caspin's memory by aspiring to be as great of a rogue as he was. However, a series of events inadverantly caused by Ernie and his irritating bread abilities ends up with a Warlock bestowing a curse upon Mandius that makes him a compulsive kleptomaniac for worthless items. Ernie's guilt basically forces him into becoming an enabler and an accomplice to Mandius' idiotic quest to become the foremost hoarder of junk.

If we're just doing 'Reader's Digest' versions, I can do that...
Fechak returned to sea and lost himself in the islands to the South. He found that his hidden fortunes had been plundered, but he didn't care so much. He bought out a tavern and renamed it "Lubber's", he brews his own ale and spends his days catching fish for the evenings dinner rush.
Icilis' story is pretty well ongoing and up to date, but once he learned all there was to learn from the Outlands, he'll be spending his time with Thelanya to the North... keep an eye out for the sporatic installments to that story.
Monuv is now staying in Darkshire most of the time as he is helping to destroy the menace living inside Karazhan. Koria is still a fixture in his life, but it's doubtful they'll be more than lovers into the near future.

Sorcha is spending time in Outland, pursuing both druidic and priestly knowledge. She is also making frequent trips to Karazhan to help (Lord) Vangelis on his mission to cleanse the place. She isn't writing much in her journal, because there isn't much to say. Until she finds out what happened to Vlad, there is just persevere and hope for the best.
Rheyna is working on the mystery of Vlad with a bunch of people who call her "Rhaina".
Deyla is bored out of her mind in Granma's cottage this winter. She is torn between doing something about that boredom and hunkering down to wallow in the feeling of belonging somewhere that she's never had before. Her necklace is still bugging her, and lately when she's gone to town to break the tedium of the long winter days, she thinks she might have seen Johnson lurking about in the shadows.
Malka is on a secret mission. She'll tell you about it when it's done.

Purified of the demonic taint and brought back to life, D'ana'no now lives in Moonglade. When the Dark Portal opened, he did travel to Outland briefly, but even its tortured condition could not hold his attention for long. Instead, he looks inward, at the invisible connections binding all things. He spends his days in silent contemplation, or walking with Ventus in quiet companionship. His dreams travel without bounds.

Nedward never did move into the Defenders' Manse, preferring his small flat upstairs from the Pig & Whistle. When the Defenders dissolved he muttered something about how he "knew it" and "told them so" and just went home to have a scotch. With a grumbled "I'd better do it, seeing on how they'll all make a botch job of it, no doubt," (a phrase that apparently applied to adventurers of all races, not just the Defenders) Ned travelled through to Outland, and continued to hone his craft. He has become famous (and quite rich) due to his extraordinary tailoring, enchanting, and bottled water - a magical brew which cleansed the pallet even as it stimulates the mind. Of course, other than his battle garb, one would not be able to tell that Ned had more than 2 coppers to rub together, and still lives in meagre living quarters upstairs of the bar, complaining about the drunks and the noise. It is uncertain how (Lord?) Vangelis convinced him to assist in the heroic assault upon Karazhan. Some have whispered Ned only goes along so that he has something to complain about. If asked to describe the place of epic legend, the old gnome response is, "It's damp."

Menshk & Boo travelled back to Menshkland to be reunited with Mama. She was very good, and pleased to see that Menshk had become a big man and mighty warrior while off in the soft lands. She also likes Boo. With the gold Menshk had found during his travels, Mama was able to get a big house, and then all of Menshk's brothers could live together with Mama and be happy, and fight, and sing. Sometime Menshk still dreams of fighting and becoming King of the Ogres (his unfulfilled fantasy), but he is happy, and good. Very good!

(Nice, Troy! You seem to have no trouble reverting to Windfoot's style, even though Ned and Rob are so different. I'm impressed.)

Celera had, I think, been wandering the Emerald Dream, perhaps with Kielon, since they were both gone so long. She comes back to the Outlands occasionally to hunt and fish, but has little desire for great adventures lately. Laranna has, however, been growing in healing ability for some months, and has found many interesting adventures in the Outlands, sometimes traveling with her old friend Lacota, sometimes with who ever she meets along the way. Thelanya, well, she has been in the Outlands for a while now, but, finding that the battles there are well fought by others, she is taking a break to spend more time with her man. I suppose we'll hear more about that soon .

After the destruction of the Defenders' Hall, Vangelis had hung up his greatsword and retired to the farm. His retirement came to an end, however, when the Dark Portal opened and Stormwind issued a blanket summons to all experienced Reservists to report for duty at Honor Hold.
In the course of fulfilling his Outland assignments Vangelis found himself recruited by the secretive Violet Eye organization to investigate Karazhan. Before his team could complete their mission, however, he was recalled back to Stormwind and reassigned to Alterac Valley, where he is currently serving.

Ath for mythelf, I thet about honing my thkillth in thwordthmanthip, athpiring to thail the theath in thearch of richeth (while thimultaneouthly thupporting a thide-buthineth in herbth, pothionth, unguentth and elikthirth... jutht to pay the billth).
Onthe I had mathtered the art of thwordplay to my own thatithfacthion, however, I found mythelf in crithith! Much to my thurprithe, I dithcovered that my Outland tranthmutathion buthineth wath reaping thignificantly higher profitth - with far leth work! - than I would ever thee from pirathy in Atheroth.
Well, a gnome hath to know hith prioritieth, tho I clearly thtuck with my tranthmutathion buthineth (though I keep my eyepatch and hat in the clothet, jutht in cathe). Ahhh, that wath the life! Thleeping in, putting in leth than an hour'th worth of work, and watching the cath roll in... until the old farmer ruined everything.
He came to me and thaid (all theriouthly, you know how he ith) that he knew I had "dithcovered the ekthithtenthe of the Violet Eye". BIG thurprithe, farm-boy... it'th the wortht-kept thecret in the Outland! But I digreth. In any cathe he told me that he wath reporting to Alterac Valley and wanted me to take hith plathe in thith "thecret thquad" he had put together. Of courthe I thaid, "go find thome other patthy", but he wath... perthithtent. Well, "grumpy", more like: who knew he would remember that old debt I owed him? That wath YEARTH ago. Memory like an elephant. THO, to make a long thtory thort, he bathically ekthtorted me out of retirement. Now I have to go meet hith thecret club... probably a bunch of lotherth. HOPEFULLY there'th thome cath in it for me.
One of thethe dayth I might akthually have to pay the old boy back... maybe then he would get OFF MY BACK.
On the bright thide, I haven't theen Nedward in ageth. Now THAT wath one annoying gnome.

Boswell (aaaand Pipnip! Hee!) went to the OUTPLACE, yes, and did much running and fighting and EXERCISING, and much SEWING also, especially with shadycloths that can be made at the shady altar with the NICE MAN who listens to Boswell and laughs at all of Pipnip's JOKES, yes yes, and now Boswell is doing much sleeping but sometimes making MORE SHADYCLOTH and getting FIERY BITS and SHADY BITS (for the shadycloth), and sometimes HELPING friends on FIELD TRIPS, which is always being FUN, but now Boswell is getting tired from saying all this without even BREATHING ONE TIME and must go to bed.
