If someone could make a dummies install guide, with screenshots, I'd really appreciate it! I suspect that many people just cant figure the darn thing out!

There is some confusion about who can and who cannot see the inventories. Must one have this utility installed to even SEE the inventories?

I think in order for those that do not have RPGO installed and/or have their character uploaded, the only way they will be able to see the inventory is if the inventory, bank, and bags as well as the charcter itself must be setup with those items viewable to the public.
The reason I think this, is because the website will only see those without RPGO, as a standard visitor to the site. Without being logged in and uploaded there are no cookies for your broswer to tell the website " Hey, I really am a member of DoV ".
Don't know if that makes sense to anyone else or not , but it makes sense in my jumbled brain hehe.

I have reset the parameters for my staff to be available for public viewing. I think this has made our inventory viewable by all.

I went to upload mine and it said nothing uploaded, does this take some time to get going or does it happen right away? The upload should work right away. NB: I have modified the starting post to (hopefully) provide simple instructions.

December 8, 2005:
The Defenders of Valor are composed of:
Warrior: 21 Druid: 5 Paladin: 13 Hunter: 20 Rogue: 10 Priest: 14 Mage: 13 Warlock: 5
So all you warriors complaining there are too many hunters...

Our character-by-class breakdown is probably pretty close to that of WoW overall, which I vaguely recall browsing a few weeks back. Lots of warriors and hunters, few druids and warlocks. Since the ratios seemed consistent across servers (RP servers had slightly higher incidences of certain classes like paladins), my guess is that the present breakdown is going to be pretty standard, i.e., Ensign will be large, Dalaran will be small. The only place where we seem to be defying the normal odds is in the unusually-large collection of gnomes we seem to have amassed. The other social consequence of the numbers is that when trying to form groups and raids, priests will be in constant demand (low supply, high demand), druids will be in demand basically only as healers (due to the inadequate supply of priests), warriors and rogues will generally find it easy to get in on a group (high supply, high demand), as will mages and warlocks (low supply, low-med demand), as will paladins (medium supply, medium demand), but hunters will always have trouble (high supply, low demand).

However if you paid better attention you might see others have made the comment before. So don't dump it all in my lap.

((I finally made this work. Interestingly, RPG-Outfitter accepts Malka as a guild member but not Rheyna. Is this just because it takes awhile for the guild database to catch up to new memberships? Or am I still doing something wrong?))

Glad you made it!
Perhaps you have not played Rheyna since completing the install?
Perhaps you have not exported Rheyna's data?

((Rheyna's data is there. It even lists her guild affiliation as Defenders of Valor. It just says she is not a member.

And to follow up my own post . . .
RPGO tells me that the problem is that the guild manager hasn't updated the roster since Rheyna joined and that once he does that, she will appear properly.
