This is really trippy... www.danharlow.com/blog/2007/10/04/what-kind-of-brain-do-you-have/At first I could only see the damn thing going clockwise and wouldn't believe that it would switch, just didn't look right... but then I looked at it with my periphial vision and it would switch on me, if I focused I could look right at it to see it going either way. Of course at first when it asked what kind of mind I have I thought "Dirty, I can only see a naked woman..."

I only ever see it going counter-clockwise. More proof that I'm a Vulcan. Speaking of humanoids -- I'm sure you are all wondering what became of all those Orcs after the fall of Mordor. So, here you go. www.mcsweeneys.net/2007/10/4missildine.html

Clockwise. I can get glimpses of counter-clockwise if i'm not looking at it. It's like there's a whole boring world out there that I can't see

I got it to switch back and forth by focusing my eyes somewhere else on the page. This is a neat thing, though. Like those damn magic eye posters (which, I NEVER see the intended picture, so I hate them.. a bunch).

OK, I had to look -- or not look, actually-- at the spinning girl and finally, I got glimpses of her going clockwise. So, Troy and I live in opposite worlds that only very slightly overlap.
There is, however, no reason to believe she is naked. I'm sure she's just wearing a leotard. Or a bikini. Or something.
The list of things about writing was brilliant. And this:
Learn a lesson about orderliness, but do not act upon such knowledge.
pretty well sums up my whole life. Substitute almost any other useful trait in place of "orderliness." Still true.
*sigh*

The Ig Nobel Awards for 2007 were just announced: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7026150.stmWhile the sword-swallowing, gay-bombing, and viagara ingesting (by rodents) steal most of the press coverage -- the most mystifying has to be the linguistics study.
